SFD Recruit Class

Meet Jennifer White.

Jennifer is from Fruitland and is currently in the Paramedic program at Wor-Wic Tech Community College. Jennifer joined the Salisbury Fire Dept. in August of this year and is enrolled in the current academy class being conducted by the Dept. Additionally Jennifer has served four years in the United States Marine Corps.

Jennifer tells me she has quite a desire to serve the community in general and hopes to test for a carrer position with the SFD in the future.

No doubt Jennifer will be an asset to the Department and the community.

Good luck Jennifer, and Thanks for all you do!

Very nice profile of Jennifer, are you planning on doing one on each of the new recruits? I think it would be great for everyone to see and have an idea of each of the new people that are protecting this community. Plus the fact a certain other person might have to eat a little crow seeing how diverse this class really is (since it was begun in August, 2 months prior to his "claims" of racists attitude within the fire department). I've heard alot of good about these people and it would be great for others to be able to actually see them. Nice job Soapbox, at least YOU are willing to investigate things!!!

I am not sure if I can get to all of them but my plan is try and introduce as many as possible on this BLOG.

Sounds like one tough cookie to me! She will surely be a great addition!

Too bad Jennifer is too late to benefit from the guidance of a great paramedic, instructor, and person by the name of JoAnne Schultz.

Amen to that Bunker B.

She was indeed the best and I miss her very much.

Thank you so much on the article about me. I am really excited about going towards a Paramedic career in the later future. Not quite sure what kinds of things have happened in the department before since I'm the "newbie" but all I have seen is a very diverse Fire 101 class as well as great instructors.
