Questions or posts.Anything and everything.Here's one to start(it is an easy one).On July 24,1863,what general's forces entered the Shenandoah Valley,Virginia to find that the enemy was gone?
Under orders of General George Meade, General William French pursues Generals Lee’s retreating army into the Shenandoah Valley. (three weeks after Gettysburg) General French’s poorly co-ordinate attacks at Front Royal Virginia allowed General Lee to escape to Luray Virginia.
Once again, failure to aggressively pursue Lee tired and ragged Army of Virginia contributed to an extended war.
