The University of Delaware Ag Alumni will sponsor their 2007 annual Sporting Clay Shoot on Sunday, October 7th at Owens Station in Greenwood Delaware. In the past the entry fee for this event includes a free T-shirt, lunch (food by Em-ings), door prizes for most, and a pretty decent purse for the winners of the event. Scoring for the main event is done by the Lewis system, and a buy-in for side Lewis purse is available. All in all it is a great event and a welcome break from the bicycle invasion at SSU in Salisbury this weekend. Shoot starts at 9 am and all shooters must be on the field by 1 pm. Proceeds from this event go the a scholarship fund for U. of Del. agriculture program. A very worthy cause helping to educate future farmers.
We have attended this event for several years now and have yet to be disappointed.
